Ssangchu Love!

January 31, 2009 at 3:42 AM (Other Kimchis, Reviews)

I’ve mentioned in my past entry that second to AnBi couple of We Got Married, I love the Lettuce Couple the most. But their rankings are now reversed in my view. XD

Watching JoongBo’s cuts in Youtube made me download those HQ 800mb-1G per episode videos (eventhough Bi is in the midst of his comeback XD) which obviously, other couples failed to do with me. For me, they’re the most realistic couple in the show. Given the fact that they have opposite personalities thought them how to give and take, to  be considerate of each other’s feelings. I think the reason why it took them a few episodes to finally loosen up and change the awkwardness with comfort is because they are actually building a relationship, the kind with a strong foundation. Too bad that just when they start to feel comfortable with each other comes the divorce (because of HJ being casted in BOF). It’s like buying really expensive fireworks display that costs a fortune to be lighted on New Year’s Eve and would only last for a few minutes. But then again, those few minutes made you the happiest. : )

I’ve finished watching all episodes up to JoongBo’s departure, which is episode 38. I’m still debating on whether I would continue to watch the succeeding episodes in its entirety because I just can’t find the MarBi (Marco and Son Dam Bi) couple interesting enough even after 11 episodes. Marco is okay but Dam Bi is… well let’s just say that they’re not growing on me. Maybe I’ll just watch the few remaining Ant Couple’s cuts before their departure, the seemingly uninterested yet caring HwanHee and HwaYobi’s cuts, TaeYeon and HyeongDon’s cuts just because I find it interestingly funny to see what those two would become XD, and I’ll give KangIn and YoonJi a try first before commenting on them. ^^

Heck, what am I saying? What I just listed is practically the whole show, well except for Marbi’s parts. XD So I think I would end up downloading the whole show after all. XDD

An Seobang! ^^

November 24, 2008 at 3:34 AM (Other Kimchis, Reviews)

My current variety obssession:

MBC 우리 결혼했어요 (We Got Married)

Just like my “April Loves Black Coffee” fanfic obssession, my addiction in the Sunday variety show “We Got Married” started a few days ago when I got really curious why I see a number of Soompiers bearing the “AnBi Couple” banner in their signature. So because I had lots of free time, I decided to give it a chance.

At first, I just watched the AnBi cuts in Youtube…and boy, I was so moved by the couple! But actually in the first episodes, I’m still hesitant if I’m going to continue watching it because I can barely feel Andy’s ‘work’ in their relationship. But I’m stubborn like that so I thought, why not just finish it since I’ve nothing to do anyway? So I continued watching and as the episodes went by, I saw that Andy is starting to loosen up and reveal himself slowly to Solbi. =) And like Andy, I’m also slowly getting more and more attached to the couple.

So eventually, I became an AnBiholic XD

(I SO love this picture ^o^. Andy’s shirt says “Dream Maker” and Solbi’s shirt says “I Love Dream” =D Hahaha!)

But I have a confession… XD Half of the time I was watching them, I was actually saying “How I wish I would see my couple behind-the-scenes too. *sighs* “…

Anyway, when I came past episode 19, (the available AnBi cuts are just up to episode 19) I started watching full episodes so I also get to watch other couples. I was actually planning on skipping the other couple’s parts but for no reason, I watched the whole segment thus, I became interested in the other couples as well. XD

Second to AnBi, I also like Hyeon Joong and Hwang Bo, or the “JoongBo Couple”. This couple really reminds me of some of the fanfics I have read. Reason is that I find Hyeon Joong very mysterious because I’m not really an established fan of SS501. Sure, I’ve listened to one or two of their songs but I just know him from WGM. HJ seems to be the quiet type of guy and is unable to express his true feelings to other people. Hwang Bo on the other hand is a very jolly person. I haven’t listened to Chakra but I’ve known her from Bi’s earlier/debut days so I already have an idea of her personality. So when I saw this couple, I instantly said “No effin’ way…they’re SO like *insert name of the fanfic couple here*! ” And since I actually have a couple of ‘fanfic couples’ in mind, I would not exchange the chance of seeing their outcome for the world. XD

Next is Crown J and In Young or the “A Couple”. They are what I call ”the hiphop couple” and I kinda like that. Hehe. I think they’re a good representation of the couples of the new generation. The two just stands out in their own way.

Anyway, back to AnBi. =) I’ve yet to watch all the episodes with AnBi still in them so I still don’t know what they turned out to be. I’m surely gonna miss them when I get past their last episode. =(

Picture credits goes to their respectful owners.

Bite me, Edward Cullen. XD

November 12, 2008 at 5:10 PM (Everyday Ramblings, Reviews)

Wait, I don’t need that now. I’m already bitten by the Twilight Fever. =D

I took the photo of this standee at SM Sta. Mesa the last time I went there. Pardon me for the crappy quality because I’m just running errands that time.  XD

Honsetly at first, I was a bit hesitant to read this because a friend of mine posted in our forum the reader’s reaction to the book. Most of them are negative, so that made my friends double take on buying the book. And eventualy not giving a single damn about it.

But I was different. I wanted to know what the hype is all about. Yeah, I’m the type who follows the bandwagon, but only if I really really like it. I mean, I’m sure there must be a reason why everyone’s hyping about it, right? So when I had the chance to visit a bookstore, I bought the first book as my gift to myself for my birthday XD. I finished reading the book after a while. Yeah it kinda took a long time before I finished it, maybe a week or so, because at that time I’m currently having my finals and I am SO fighting the urge to drop my school notes and just grab the book and read ’til morning XD. So after I finished the book, I SO regretted not buying the whole series at one go because I already spent the money alloted for it so I can’t buy them anymore. But hey, what’s the internet for? ^o^ Though I swear I’ll buy them once I get a hold of some bucks. XD

I’m not good at reviewing books so I’ll just rank them. =) For me it’s gonna be Breaking Dawn, Twilight, Eclipse, and last but not the least, New Moon. I can’t voice out my reasons why I chose that order because I honestly don’t know. Well, I think I can for New Moon. No , I’m not saying that it’s because it’s not a good book but….it’s because my hot, beautiful vampire wasn’t in like 3/4 of the whole book! XD No seriously, I think it’s because I just don’t like the overall aura of Jacob Black right from the start of Twilight, so I think I took a week to finish this book, which is long since I started it on my sem-break. I was like, just pushing myself to keep reading and finish the book so that I can finally start on Eclipse. Well miraculously, Edward was back in about the last few chapters so that made my reading in an uber fast pace. XD But yeah, after I finished all four of them I already understood why Jacob acted like….well, Jacob. =D Without his presence it would’nt be the same. I wouldn’t love the saga the way I do now. Though that doesn’t make me less a Cullenist. =P Yeah, it’s kinda obvious that I’m in for Team Edward, for all of eternity. :)

So lovely philippine vampires, don’t forget to watch Twilight on November 26. =D

April Loves Black Coffee

June 23, 2008 at 7:18 PM (Reviews)

April Loves Black Coffee

I think anyone who’s a regular Soompier, or a regular fanfic reader at Soompi to be exact, would know that that exact line is practically everywhere in the forum. Everywhere, in a sense that it’s already a bandwagon of people having it in their signatures. And of course, I am part of that bandwagon. XD

Conversations Between Us by Solangel

To say that I LOVE this fanfic to death is an understatement. I’ve been bugging my friends to read it but they seem to not care at all though I still bug them anyways. XD I made this entry with hopes that my visitors will be curious enough to read it. See, I’m going at these lengths just to get people read this beautiful piece of writing. And if I’ll ever meet someone from the film industry, I’ll most probably bug them to consider making a film out of this, too. Hehehe.. XD If you’re wondering why not a publishing company first, well, that’s because the author said that it’s already in the process of publication in Thai. ^^

Get ready for Raizo!

June 8, 2008 at 7:00 PM (Everyday Ramblings, Rain/Jeong Ji-hoon, Reviews)

Raizo is gonna take out those evil murderers in January! Yes you read it right! Ninja Assassin is gonna be released in January 16, 2009 in the US. In the Philippines, I think it’s safe to assume that the release date is the same or within the week. Hehehe…

Yay! So we’re gonna see him that early in the year. I was excpecting sometime in summer. But of course, I’m not complaining… XD

[사랑해]

We watched Kung Fu Panda yesterday at SM Megamall and all I can say is: AWESOMENESS! lol

It’s a really fun movie. It’s undoubtedly made for the whole family to enjoy. Not just for kids but also for those who are kids-at-heart. XD I swear…I think we enjoyed it more than the kids in the cinema who watched it along with us. I didn’t dare hold back my emotion whenever I felt like saying ‘woah’ or ‘ahhh’. All those ‘kung-fooey’ scenes are just…plain awesome. It’s definitely a MUST see!

[사랑해]

Vacation’s over. It’s time to go back to my 4-cornered cell a.k.a classroom. ><

But I’m kinda excited to go back to school this time for 2 reasons. One is because I already have a big big BIG hole in my pocket and I need to stitch it back a.s.a.p.. And two is because I’m getting really bored at home without anything to entertain me..or to put it simple, I miss the hell out of Ji-hoon so I want to get thoughts diverted for a while. Uhh..yea right. Lame reason, I know. As if it can really divert my attention even for a second. XD

Reviews and Ramblings

March 23, 2008 at 7:35 PM (Everyday Ramblings, Reviews)

I said I wasn’t really a fan of historical dramas right? But hey, I am starting to get addicted to Hong Gil Dong every minute watching it. XD Gil Dong and Yi Nok are just too cute and funny at the same time to abandon! hahaha! And how am I supposed to leave Chang Whe?! He is so damn handsome!! XD

[사랑해]

So when I whine, he answers eh? I should whine everyday then…hehehe. =D

The full MV of Samsung Anycall which Bi filmed in China last month is already out just this morning at an ungodly hour of 1am, which made it hard for me to sleep. XD But damn he looks so hot in a wifebeater! …what am I saying? He ALWAYS looks hot in a wifebeater!! XD

There is still no HQ release so I’m not gonna post anything yet. =D

[사랑해]

Hwang Jini

I know it’s a shame on my part that I had this movie since last year but I only get to watch it yesterday. XD I’ve read some good, not-so good and bad reviews about this movie but after watching it, I just know I’ll give a good one. =D

I’d say Song Hye Kyo’s acting is almost perfect here. Even if some says she lacks that ‘gisaeng attitude’ in the parts where she’s already a gisaeng, I think it’s because Jini was brought up as a part of a noble family in the first place, so even if five years later of being a gisaeng, she would still carry the royal etiquette in her right? So the royal part in her must be hard to lose especially when royalty is highly regarded in Korea.

Jini and Nomi’s love story… although they undoubtedly love each other, I somewhat feel that they’re a little..detached? I dunno if it’s because of their long separation from each other that makes it come out that way. But I can feel the love when both sacrificed themselves for each other. Jini gave herself to the magistrate so that Gaetong will be freed from prison because she knew that should Nomi hears about it, he will surrender himself. Nomi on the other hand, surrendered himself so that Jini won’t be having hard times anymore. Too bad it’s too late for Jini already gave herself to the magistrate the night before.

One side comment before I end up this review…

Damn that magistrate is so ‘effin lucky to have the chance to run his hands into Hye Kyo’s legs up to her knees. XD I bet someone bit his lower lip or index finger (his habit) when that scene came so as to control himself when he watched the movie. >:]] Bwhahaha I’m sooo bad..

I Like it Hot / Hellcats

I’ve been expecting this movie since last year when I became a fan of Wonder Girls and I found out that Ahn So Hee will act in it. Now after watching it, it somewhat didn’t meet my expectations but I’m not a bit disappointed at this movie and it’s a good one nonetheless. And I like it that they used WG’s song I Babo in the bar scene..hehe.

  • Kim Ah Mi – Na Won Suk – Oh Seung Won

This love triangle got the most airtime..hehe. Ah Mi and Won Suk portrayed the new generation couple well but I think Ah Mi would do good if she chose Seung Won too. I seriously think they’re a cute couple especially when she visited him when he was sick. Though I also believe her when she said she liked Seung Won but she’s too confused about her feelings for Won Suk so she rejected him instead. Too bad..I was rooting for them..hehe. XD Also, I know it’s a heartbreaking scene to see your couple goldfish die, but using the toilet seat to cry on is just ..eww.  >o<

  • Kim Young Mi – Choi Kyung Soo

This couple somewhat reminded me of the movie Sweet Sex and Love because of their aggressiveness but differs in the way they feel for each other. In this movie, I can feel that both are trying to help each other in a way..

  • Kim Kang Ae – Lee Ho Jae – Yoo Mi Ran

I was hoping for a longer screentime for So Hee..hehe. Her mandu face is all over this movie. Anyways, she did good in this movie considering it’s her debut as an actress..and she already had 4 kissing scenes. XD Oh and Kim Bum? Was he included here too? LOL just kidding don’t kill me. XD I seriously didn’t feel him at all. Well except that he is Kang Ae’s love interest at first but he didn’t seem to like her the same way. Kang Ae’s liking on her bestfriend is what I had expected starting from their first kiss at the early part of the story.

Good Friday, Bored Friday

March 21, 2008 at 2:57 PM (Everyday Ramblings, Reviews)

It’s Good Friday today but this doesn’t stop me from whining. XD

나 오늘 지훈이 너무 보고싶어요.. And re-watching his dramas doesn’t make it any better. Add the fact that it’s vacation time and I’m stuck at home doing nothing.

[사랑해]

Autumn Tale

What can I say? This drama is definitely a classic! I already watched the tagalized version but seeing it in Korean makes it even more beautiful (the main reason why I don’t like dubbed dramas).

Here I am making an 8-year-long delayed review. XD

This drama defines the word love really well. Be it love for family, friends, or for that special someone. And the couples – JS-ES, TS-ES – have done it great! Joon-seo and Eun-seo…should I say more about their love for each other? XD Tae-seok and Eun-seo would do great too in my opinion, if only ES wasn’t so inlove with JS. And with an exception for Joon-seo and Yumi because I didn’t really feel them at all. But I think it’s because they made it to be like that in the first place. JS never really loved her but he undoubtedly cares for her, it’s in his every action when she fractured her hand, but the reason he became attached to her is just because she wanted to be a tree too should she be reborn, just like Eun-seo. So yeah..I’ll forgive them for that LOL..

Also just like everybody else, I cried buckets for this drama…but not as much as what JS and ES have shed. There’s like a bucket of tears shed in every episode! I must really give them the props for that! And no, it’s not considered overacting at all. It’s just right to the flow of the story.

One thing I do not like about this is Joon-seo’s death. He didn’t deserve that kind of death…I mean after all what he has gone through, he died just like that by being hit by a truck? I know it’s the most common stereotypes in k-dramas, that the main characters will be hit by a car just because the driver forgot that he can step on that stupid break when he’s still metres away from the person. (A miracle happened in Ijuksa though… XD lol) Some says that it’s ok because they can finally be together in the life after death but spare me! I still believe that the PD should’ve given him a much better death worth remembering like Eun-seo…

Currently watching: Hong Gil Dong

I’m not really a fan of historical dramas but I’m giving Hong Gil Dong a try… =D
